At last! "There Are Too Many Losing Heroines!" has been greenlit for a second season! This is all thanks to everyone who supported us and everyone who helped make it happen! I wrote about the anime in the afterword of Volume 7, but I never imagined I'd be reporting a Season 2 announcement in Volume 8. It seems my past self went and saved the world again...
After Season 1 aired (what a joy to call it that!), so many things changed around this work. We ranked No. 1 overall in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2025, and many pilgrimage fans have come to visit the real‑world locations in Toyohashi City, where the story is set. I've heard that many have become repeat visitors—even some who decided to move here. That's all thanks to the city of Toyohashi embracing the fans who love this series.
The Season 2 broadcast is still a way off, but between Season 1 of the anime, the original novels, the manga adaptation, collaborations, and fan pilgrimages—there's plenty more to enjoy. Let's all, as members of Tsuwabuki High, share these youthful adventures together!
...In fact, I'm writing this the day after the "Tsuwabuki High Literature Club Extracurricular Activities" event in Akishima City. I still can't calm down from the incredible performances by the cast, Bocchi Boromaru, and Mossa. I'll never forget the moment the Season 2 announcement was met with roaring applause in the hall. I hope to carry this excitement in my heart and keep writing Makein.
Now, Volume 8 places Tiara Basori front and center. Please watch warmly as she finds the courage to take that crucial step forward.
